This is a 1964 two tone gold on Silver Proof JFK Half Dollar coin set as a gold pendant. The obverse of the coin features the face of President John F. Kennedy designed by Gilroy Roberts. The reverse depicts an eagle designed by Frank Gasparro.  JFK’s figure was highlighted and brought to life with rich pure 24K Gold (this gold work is done by hand). This breathtaking and exclusive work turns these coin into stunning and true works of art. Each coin is hermetically sealed against wear in clear, hard acrylic coating.

The JFK Half Dollar Pendant is set in a Gold filled plain edge bezel, on a good 14K gold layered 18″ rope chain and placed in a nice jewelry box.The coin measures 30.6mm in diameter.  Includes a Certificate of Authenticity.

About the Kennedy Half Dollar
The Kennedy half dollar replaced the Franklin half dollar and was first struck in 1964, less than a year after the assassination of JFK. In fact, the coin was designed a mere five days after Kennedy’s death. Gilroy Roberts, the former chief engraver of the United States Mint, was able to use the same profile of Kennedy that he had used to make Kennedy’s inaugural medal two years earlier.
