Chinese Lithophane Snowflake Bowl

This is a lovely hand painted bowl with a lithophane snowflake pattern (made by putting rice grains in the porcelain and then firing them in the kiln, the rice burns away and leaves decorative holes that are filled with glaze). The patterns really show up when you look through them at the light. These are white porcelain with hand painted blue designs. The bowl is marked China on the bottom. The bowl measures 2.25 inches high and 4.5 inches across the rim.
